Halloween for Cruisers
The Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) is an annual transatlantic sailing event (rally) that starts in November in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and finishes at Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia, in the Caribbean. The route takes between 10 and 31 days aided by trade winds, and covers over 2700 nautical miles.
It is a very popular trans-ocean sailing event, this year there are two rallies , the ARC + which starts on Nov 5 from Las Palmas, makes a stop in Cape Verde and finishes in Grenada and the ARC which starts on Nov 19. Since we are here a bit early for our Nov 19 starts, we get to mingle with lots of families doing the ARC+ and Halloween turned into a super fun event! Most of the boats on our pontoon (dock) are family boats and almost everyone decorated for the Holiday and had treats to hand out. One mom organized for all the kids to go trick or treating as a group and it was a lot of fun. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves!

Seth and our amazing neighbor Petra on Gian. Gian was the best decorated boat on the dock. While Petra and Wolfgang don't have kids onboard they love being on the family dock and are the favorites of all the kids!

It looks like you all had a fun Halloween!
BRILLIANT! But we did miss you on Carmelita Street!
It seems that along with ARC there will be a lot of boats for this very long crossing The Vendée Globe ,la route du Rhum ( which will be plenty when you get over there and the Jaques Vabre waiting for you with plenty of coffee . Lot of fun after Halloween without Domingo’s or Ciaran . Bonne traversee
